Luxury & Empathy

If there is an observation to be made in the luxury space it is that the principles of a luxury experience are exceedingly simple. The process for ideation and execution, perhaps much less so.
To deliver a luxury experience is simply to delight, because true delight lies at the heart of much that we call prestige. And to delight others begins with an understanding of what we find delightful - a function of empathy. If our coffee delights us it is no great leap of imagination to believe it will delight others.
Ideation and execution are somewhat trickier, a function of imagination and experience. But the starting point is possibly just in realising that beyond the flash and bang, in client services as in much else, true luxury is a feeling within ourselves that we re-create for others.
